The British Standards Institute has published a draft standard for web accessibility. It's open to comments (via a web interface, login required) until Jan 31. - Pownce acquired but Six Apart, to be shut down.
Pownce (the microblogging service) has been acquired by Six Apart (the company behind Movable Type) and will be shut down. In a post on the Pownce blog, Leah Culver says that they'll be back with "something much better in 2009". It seems likely that Six Apart are acquiring the talent rather than the technoogy behind Pownce. Pownce looked pretty good whenever I checked it out, but Twitter already had the critical mass of users. - 24ways opens the first window in its advent calendar of tips
